Features
Find the cause. Fix it. Write it down.
A Windows diagnostics toolkit built around how technicians actually work: check the computer, understand the result, make a safe change, and hand over a report.
01Diagnostics
27 read-only checks
Diagnostics look and report. They don't change the computer. Each one covers a specific area and explains what it found.
02Actions
15 repairs, each behind a confirmation
When a finding needs a fix, actions make the change. Anything that changes the computer asks for your explicit confirmation first, and you can cancel a running task.
03Log collection
The right logs, in one bundle
8 log collectors gather the files and event logs each area actually needs, with limits on how much they collect, so escalations arrive with the evidence attached.
For example, printing log collection gathers driver logs and PrintService events without collecting the content of print jobs.
04Troubleshooting packs
11 packs for common problems
A pack runs a curated set of modules in one go. Start with the symptom and let the pack run the checks. Technicians can build their own packs.
Each pack's description says whether it changes anything. The Group Policy pack, for example, runs the read-only assessment and leaves the forced refresh for you to start separately.
05Reports
Results you can hand over
Export what you found for the ticket, the next technician, or the customer.
- JSON
- Structured results for scripts and other tools
- CSV
- Rows for a spreadsheet
- HTML
- A branded, readable report
- ZIP
- A support bundle with results and collected files
- Redaction
- Configurable, so you control what leaves the building
06Local and remote
At the desk or across the network
Run modules on the computer Muon Insight is running on, or on a remote computer over WinRM, using your own signed-in Windows identity. 49 of 55 modules support remote computers.
- A Connection Tests page reports DNS, TCP, WS-Management and authorization results separately, so you know which layer failed.
- Files staged on the remote computer are removed after each run.
- The app never changes TrustedHosts, firewall rules, WinRM listeners or credentials.
07Rules engine and multi-computer runs
From raw data to a verdict
A rules engine interprets module results and marks each finding OK, warning or critical. Run the same check on several computers and use the comparison and roll-up views to see which ones need attention.
- OK
- Warning
- Critical
4 analyzer modules add deeper interpretation:
08Live dashboard
Watch the computer while you work
A live dashboard shows CPU, memory and disk activity for the selected computer, so you can see the effect of what you're doing.
Also included: ServiceNow device context
An integration module pulls the computer's CMDB record plus related incidents, requests and changes. ServiceNow credentials are stored in Windows Credential Manager, never in configuration files.
